Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hardware knowledge, strong networking skills, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and technical support. This role is essential in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities: As an IT Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include providing customer technical support, configuring and assembling equipment, ensuring seamless operation of all hardware and network systems.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of various hardware devices (PCs, Notebooks, Tablets, Raspberry Pi, Printers, etc.).
  • Essential skills in computer formatting, cloning, Access Point configuration, and diverse printer installations.
  • Understanding of Ethernet network principles.
  • Experience with structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, etc.).
  • Knowledge of switches, routers, and other network devices.
  • Ability to configure and manage switches and routers.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Ethernet networks, including connectivity and performance issues.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and others.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of network security practices, including firewalls and VPNs.
  • Ability to implement and monitor security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, especially in a network context. Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and configure network servers, including DNS and DHCP servers.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience providing technical support via phone, email, and chat.
  • Skill in documenting problems and solutions in ticketing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Portuguese and/or Spanish is considered a plus).
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and accessibly to users with varying levels of knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical and effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse and constantly changing situations and priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hardware technical support or a similar position.
  • Previous experience in corporate environments or large network infrastructures is an advantage.
