The Sales Analytics and Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial organization by providing essential data analysis and comprehensive reporting to enhance marketing and sales performance and enable strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets, and transforming them into actionable insights that enhance business performance. Working closely with marketing, sales, finance, and other department team members, you will ensure that data-driven strategies are at the forefront of our decision-making processes, helping to identify opportunities for growth, optimize sales processes, and improve overall business performance. Your insights will directly influence key business initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing and sales data to provide actionable insights. Develop and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and metrics to track performance against targets.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Support the sales team with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
  • CRM Management: Assist in managing and maintaining the integrity of sales data within CRM systems. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and updates in CRM and other sales tools.
  • Forecasting Support: Assist in the sales forecasting process by providing data and analysis to support accuracy and alignment with business goals. Work with sales leadership to develop and refine sales forecasts.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to gather competitive intelligence and understand market trends. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research findings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and increase efficiency. Support the implementation of new sales tools and technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align data analysis with overall business objectives. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the commercial organization.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales analytics, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and similar software.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading pricing initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights to senior management and functional leaders.

We offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience and qualifications, in accordance with the State of California pay transparency laws. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
