Payroll Specialist – Hybrid (Some days in office, some remote) Job 2461-1

Memphis, TN

6 Month contract to start, with possible extension

·       Pay range = $18 -$19 Hourly – 40 hour work week / on average

Reports to Supervisor, Payroll

Key Relationships
• HRSS – Support
• Colleagues (companywide)

Job Summary
Under supervision assist with payroll operations. Solves basic pay related
inquiries of limited complexity. Summarizes colleague inquires in written
form into a computerized template or ticket. Manage inbound and outbound
calls. Visually examines payroll records to create tickets to resolves basic
data errors and discrepancies when necessary, using Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP).

Key Performance Indicators
• Adherence to compliance (e.g., company, federal, state, local, etc.)
• Service Level Agreement (SLA) alignment

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Document colleague voice interactions in writing within tickets.
• Knowledge of basic payroll and timekeeping information (e.g., utilization of basic mathematical, etc.)
• Manage inbound and outbound calls to assist with colleague inquiries.
• Respond to basic inquiries from colleague regarding payroll related matters.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel
• Basic time management, strong organizational, and deductive reasoning skills
• Basic aptitude with numerical data
• Experience working in a multi-tasking environment (specifically while talking with colleagues and resolving inquires).
• Provide active listening, empathy, and problem solving.

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics
• Teamwork and Collaboration skills

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 – 2 years of Payroll-related experience, preferred.

**Additional Notes**
• Duration: 6 months – possibility of extension

• Location – **need to be in Memphis area** - coming into the office 3 days a week (continue throughout the duration) – they could be back in the office 5 days a week – during the duration of their contract.
• 9-6 CST hours.

Hybrid Position Requirements:
- Must be able to travel to Corporate Office (downtown Memphis, TN)
- A dedicated workspace free of distractions
- Reliable internet with 25Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.
- Ability to connect computer equipment to the internet via ethernet cord.
- Child/dependent care is necessary for the hours in which the teammate works remotely.
- Remote and hybrid teammates are expected to be available during agreed upon hours based on job duties, as decided or scheduled by their manager. Personal tasks and errands should only be performed during scheduled breaks and lunches.
- Use of cameras is expected during meetings and virtual events.
- The company will supply all required equipment to perform duties.
