Our management team is led by industry veterans with decades of wire and cable experience in sales, manufacturing, distribution, engineering and marketing. This means that Classic Wire customers have direct access to a knowledgeable and experienced sales team as well as local NEMRA affiliated sales representatives that provide unparalleled customer service across the United States.

The Second Shift Warehouse Specialist will work a schedule from 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily following the guidelines set for the by Shift Supervisor. The SSWS will follow standard operating procedures and will comply with the warehouse safety procedures, dress code and attendance policies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Position is for 2nd shift. 3:30pm - 11:00pm
  • Responsible for warehouse staff of 4-8 team members
  • Communicate daily with Warehouse manager on nightly tasks and goals
    • Ensure team members are working efficiently on task at hand
    • Receiving/Check/Document inbound freight for accuracy, quality and damage
    • Receive all material into Rubicon, ensure all material accurately labeled
    • Work with 1st shift on proper warehouse space planning for all incoming material
    • Assign received material to appropriate BIN locations for stock replenishment
    • Unload freight in a safe timely manner, ensure all material is being handled properly to mitigate damage
    • Responsible for pulling, prepping outbound orders for following day
    • Ensure all outbound orders are quality checked and meet company requirements
    • Administrative duties including, filing of paperwork, policy enforcement, answering correspondence with management team, exterior entities such as freight carriers
    • Keep receiving and shipping area clean and organized, monitor and ensure all equipment (hand tools, power equipment etc.) in the department are being used properly with PPE when required, and returned to their areas when no longer in use
    • Address/resolve any inventory/receiving discrepancies
    • Facility security integrity including setting alarms, and locking doors when facility is not operational
    • Identifying, correcting, mitigating any safety hazards that may arise
    • Ensure all machinery is being used in a safe manor throughout the facility
    • Rotate old/new inventory
    • Attend training for duties related to position
    • Assist during Inventory
    • Assist Warehouse manager with tasks and duties as needed
