About this opportunity:

Life-Assist, Inc. is looking to enhance our current Purchasing Team with a Support Specialist who will perform a wide variety of administrative and staff support services.

Who are you?

Education, Licenses, Experience & Skills/Abilities

  • Minimum associate degree: BS/BA in Business preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Must have 3-5 years demonstrated experience in an administrative support role

What will you do?

  • Enters order confirmations and order tracking as needed
  • Checks on POs missing confirmations
  • Checks on and updates past due orders and status requests
  • Creates and updates long term backorder comments
  • Requests and updates vendor insurance certificates
  • Assists purchasing team with price discrepancies
  • Calls vendors daily regarding questions, inquiries, and requests
  • Receives and bills customer drop ship orders as needed
  • Supports Purchasing Agents, Assistant Manager, and Manager with tasks as needed
  • Organizes and maintains files, correspondence, and records
  • Enters new vendor pricing
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Assists with manufacturer direct returns as needed
  • Loads and updates vendor information
  • Coordinates and schedules vendor meetings
  • Prepares information for vendor and internal meetings
  • Attends vendor and internal meetings with Purchasing staff to take notes
  • Analyze vendor promotions and sales opportunities
  • Scans and returns vendor agreements
  • Follows up with vendors to obtain countersigned agreements
  • Loads and maintains vendor rebate pricing
  • Inventories and orders office supplies
