The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and handling family-based immigration matters. Our office handles immigration matters including but not limited to: U-Visa’s, Adjustment of Status, VAWA, Fiancé Visas, Waivers, and more. You must be able to manage and handle all aspects of a case, and have strong client-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to collect case documents.
  • Complete immigration intakes.
  • Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications, cover letters, and packets for filing with the appropriate government agency.
  • Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding the progress of their case, upcoming hearings, and appointments; answer questions related to their case.
  • Be able to run reports and oversee status of cases through utilization of firm case management and billing systems and software.
  • Maintain hard copy files and documents to support all immigration progress and activity on behalf of clients
  • Assist attorneys and other team members to manage caseload. Communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisors
  • Complete assignments and meet all deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software
  • A self-starter, client service oriented, and a team player
  • Strong case management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
