Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Multiple Cloud Platforms: Must have experience standing up web based applications on multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle-Cloud or others).
  • SRE: Experience working in an SRE/Site Reliability type role ideally for a B2C based business surrounding Data Accessibility for external client intra-net sites including messaging and transactions or similar ideally within a High Availability environment
  • Cloud Web-Security: Experience initiating and managing 'more than one' Cloud Platforms Security-Services/Security Tools.
  • DevOps: Experience standing up mixed more than one cloud platform (see first bullet-above) based environments for a combination of Website Reliability and for Software Engineers to Code and Test on, should be familiar with most of the following
    • Configuration Management and using tools like puppet or ansible or chef
    • Containerization development and workflow management and using tools like AWS-Elastic Container Service, Docker; must have experience with Kubernetes (including Helm)
    • Experience setting up automated scripts and routines within a CI/CD Software Development type environment.
    • Experience working between older and newer technologies (within SRE and DevOps) for the purpose of keeping the customer site highly available And supporting Software Coding Infrastructure initiatives.
  • Very Strong Oral and Written communication skills as ongoing communication with external-paying clients will be a regular part of this role.

Pluses:

  • Experience working in a similar role for an Enterprise Software Company where there are multiple iterations of similar software applications.
  • Earlier Career experience in a role involving a mixture of coding, website administration, source-code control, release management and/or configuration management.
  • Familiarity with GitHub
  • Experience with any of the following: JIRA, jenkins, hudson, maven, Nginx load balancer for SRE, Varnish (or other website caching tools), Terraform (and the ability to customize and automate within Terraform), Hashicorp
  • Formal training or certifications: Linux, AWS, Azure, GCP, DevOps, SRE
