Salary: Up to $165,000/year
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Azure Cloud Engineering to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Enterprise IT Infrastructure design, management, and operations with at least 15 years of experience. Additionally, the candidate should have at least 7 years of experience working with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS), demonstrating expertise in cloud migration strategies and cloud security best practices. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical acumen, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency within our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Azure Cloud Engineering team in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive cloud strategies, including migration plans, optimization techniques, and security protocols.
- Ensure the seamless integration of Azure services with existing IT infrastructure, maximizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Implement and maintain robust cloud security measures, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Azure Cloud Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value and service levels for cloud-related services.
- Monitor and report on the performance, availability, and cost of cloud services, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in Enterprise IT Infrastructure design, management, and operations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS).
- Proven experience in developing and executing cloud migration strategies and implementing cloud security best practices.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., networking, storage, compute) and their integration with cloud services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
