Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Replacement:
  • Lead projects related to equipment maintenance, upgrades, and replacements to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing equipment and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plant Design and Process Improvement:
  • Oversee plant design and layout projects to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Cost Savings:
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, budget tracking, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, specifications, and technical reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of directly relevant experience in engineering project management within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with pet food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and plant design.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
