This position reports to our Controller and works closely with the Accounting and Management team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist in cash flow management and projections.
  • Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data for discrepancies and variances.
  • Participate in financial planning and strategy discussions.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning.
  • Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment (but not mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Important to have a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
