Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining customer relationships with multiple accounts and ensuring smooth operations with an emphasis on safety, compliance and exceptional service.

Position Details

  • Clearly communicate issues to our customers
  • Instruct drivers, following up on details and seeing tasks through to completion
  • Be attentive and thorough in satisfying customer and employee needs
  • Oversee a night-time Operations Manager and work closely with them to solve all problems for our customers
  • Work closely with our leasing company on the upkeep of our equipment
  • Work closely with outside vendors on repairs of our equipment
  • Approaching tasks with a positive attitude
  • Creating practical solutions that address the customer’s operational and financial needs
  • Developing creative ideas on how to improve processes and manage workflow
  • Collaborating and listening to other ideas

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Three years of experience managing drivers
  • Must be an effective communicator -- It is imperative to be successful in this position to be able to clearly communicate issues to our customers.
  • Problem solving skills and creative thinking
  • Able to make decisions independently when necessary
  • Must be organized
  • Prioritizing tasks
  • Safety oriented
  • Understanding of CSA and DOT compliance
  • Knowledge of DOT files and basic hiring practices
  • Routing software and e-logging knowledge is a plus
  • Computer skills: Office suite; Understanding databases; Android based smartphones or tablets
