Location: Pomona, CA

Schedule: 6 am - 2:30 pm

Pay Range: $24 - $27 per hour based on experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing raw materials preferably metals and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing new suppliers and evaluating existing ones
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory control team to ensure optimal stock levels
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track purchasing activities and maintain accurate records
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends
- Assist in the development of purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices

Experience:
- Proven experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies for raw materials such as metals
- Familiarity with contracts, negotiation, and vendor management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
