We are seeking for a bright, dynamic, and enthusiastic full-time entry to mid-level Graphic Designer with 2-5 years of experience to join the Business Development team. The Graphic Designer will be exposed to design processes, creative design software, printing and production, design publications and resources, graphics-related training, and the inner workings of an in-house creative team. Reporting to the Creative Director and working in close collaboration with the Marketing team.  We're seeking for a graphic designer who excels in visual storytelling in the field of engineering.

This position is located in the Fountain Valley office. The designer is required to work onsite and also work with a remote team.

Responsibilities

  • Use graphic design principles such as color, form, and balance to create original design concepts that inform and engage technical and non-technical audiences across a variety of digital and print platforms
  • Contribute to a culture of quality-focused, forward-thinking design by constantly improving skills in typography, copywriting, editing, digital illustration, etc.
  • Maintain brand consistency, as appropriate
  • Maintain knowledge of and proficiency with the latest technologies and trends in the graphic design environment
  • Design, technical illustrations/colorization, presentations, report covers, proposals layout, internal posters, banners, marketing collateral, visualizations, internal website updates, social media, etc.
  • Print production, scanning, and creation of mock-ups and exhibits
  • Support with internal/project photography and videography
  • Photo editing/processing and archiving adhere to the protocol
  • Support other duties that may be assigned by the Creative Director, team, or in-house engineers

Requirements

  • Must supply recent samples of design work and link to a website with an emphasis on page layout, booklet designs, branding-related design, and visualization renderings
  • 1 or more years of experience in graphic design (preferably long-form documents like reports and/or proposals in the AEC or similar industry)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign — creating templates, and understanding proper use/application of styles, etc., and proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop is also essential), as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong design sense and creativity with the integration of color, typography, photography, and illustrative graphic elements
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress, HTML, and/or CSS
  • Interest in photography and/or videography
  • Highly organized, attentive to details, motivated, and able to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision to complete quality work
  • Ability to take creative direction and communicate effectively
