JOB SUMMARY

The T24 Technical Manager will lead, coordinate and manage the developments carried out by internals teams and/or external suppliers, guaranteeing the functional and technical quality for the Temenos T24 core Bci Miami solutions. This role is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet business requirements, quality, security, best development and architectural practices, planning developments together with the team and following software architecture and engineering guidelines.


This role is responsible for guiding the development team in the most complex technical tasks, in order to guarantee the success of each of the developers in the project. It must be a technical reference for the team.


DUTIES OF THE POSITION


The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Lead technical decisions of projects, development cells and coordination with suppliers.

  • Define and coordinate with business and operations managers the requirements that will be implemented in the applications under their responsibility.

  • Lead and implement technological solutions for BCI Miami as it related to the T24 platform.

  • In charge of the technical quality and design of deliveries, through the monitoring, analysis and management of quality indicators, allowing the generation of scalable developments, evolutions and maintenance.

  • Support client teams in the evaluation of solutions, offering solutions that allow them to resolve their requirements with a vision of the future and technical assumptions.

  • Control and manage the development, evolution and maintenance of products and/or services.

  • Ensure that initiatives have high quality standards that allow them to be maintained over time.

  • Prepare RFPs for the selection of suppliers and software solutions according to business needs.

  • Participate and promote the application of methodology or work frameworks that facilitate collaboration and integrated work between the business and technical areas

  • Knowledge of project management (progress, risks, commitments).

  • Responsible for being at the forefront of technologies on the market to ensure technological evolution.

  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure

  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees

  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position

  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)

  • Travel as required

  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested

  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:


COMPUTER: Ability to use operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Suite at an advanced level. Functional and extensive technical knowledge of Temenos T24 platform.


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, industrial civil engineering or a combination of related experience.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:


Industry certifications are welcomed


EXPERIENCE:

Must have experience in the financial service industry.

Must have knowledge of agile methodologies, Agile tools (Jira)

Experience leading teams in traditional software development and agile cells.

Experience leading teams of external suppliers in a remote format and located in different countries

Knowledge and experience in technologies and languages for core developments

Knowledge and experience in systems integration, including integration mechanisms with legacy systems

Knowledge and experience in Temenos T24 platform, Tenemos Infinity and/or knowledge of agile/and/or LEAN practices and tools is a PLUS

Knowledge of banking products (retail and business)

10 years of experience applying concepts in projects both on front and back end

Experience in Integration - Java
