Summary:

The Product and Vertical Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand, and revenue for our products across specific industry verticals. This role requires a deep understanding of our products, the competitive landscape, and the unique needs of our target industries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully marketing products in a B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for our products within key industry verticals.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
    • Define go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and target audience segmentation.
  2. Campaign Management:
    • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
    • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to optimize online presence and digital marketing efforts.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI.
  3. Product Marketing:
    • Work closely with product management to understand product features, benefits, and roadmap.
    • Develop product marketing collateral, including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and presentations.
    • Train sales teams on product offerings and industry-specific value propositions.
  4. Vertical Expertise:
    • Build deep expertise in assigned industry verticals, understanding key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Develop tailored marketing content and strategies for each vertical, showcasing our products' unique benefits.
    • Establish thought leadership by contributing to industry events, webinars, and publications.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with sales, product management, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.
    • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing initiatives as needed.
    • Manage the marketing budget for assigned products and verticals.
  6. Performance Analysis:
    • Track and report on key performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
    • Use insights from data to refine strategies and improve marketing effectiveness.
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends to keep our marketing efforts cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on B2B markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for technology products.
  • Strong understanding of specific industry verticals relevant to our business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in marketing analytics and performance measurement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
