Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Operations Manager to join a family owned business. This individual will be responsible for operations, managing staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient production.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting production deadlines, maintaining accurate production reporting, inventory, and labor records, and utilizing the Epicor ERP system to manage production schedules.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, operations teams, and other stakeholders to effectively schedule manufacturing orders, monitor production inventory levels, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Optimizing production sequences, adjusting schedules as necessary, resolving capacity constraints, and generating reports to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage high-volume production and custom projects, ensuring seamless integration of both types of work into the production schedule.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes, and maintaining a safe and organized department.
- Working with the maintenance team on equipment upkeep and scheduled preventive maintenance is crucial to minimize downtime and meet production schedules.
- Providing training and mentoring, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety rules, and managing the workforce as production demand dictates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ metal fabrication manufacturing environment.
- 3+ of experience in a leadership level position.
- Experience managing mixed high-volume production and custom project environment.
- Experience in a metal fabrication or powder coating environment
- Ability to work closely with various departments to coordinate projects and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in managing production inventory and labor records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software
- Ability to read blueprints
