Our client is a prominent global manufacturing entity located in the Midwest, recognized for its substantial contributions to well-known consumer brands. Due to their rapid expansion, they are seeking a Financial Operations Manager to enhance their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review monthly financial reports and key performance indicators for the manufacturing site, ensuring adherence to company standards and GAAP.
- Engage proactively with plant leadership and the Controller's team to maintain a transparent and accurate understanding of the facility's financial health.
- Oversee the business planning process for the plant, integrating productivity and cost objectives for both production and procurement.
- Generate monthly forecasts and provide operational leadership with insights and analysis regarding significant variances from projections.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction within the plant, holding management accountable for achieving annual savings and enhancing productivity.
- Establish and uphold accurate standard cost information for all products, collaborating with product teams and management on new developments and business ventures.
- Ensure robust internal controls are implemented to protect company assets.
- Formulate necessary inventory policies and controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong expertise in costing and inventory accounting.
- Effective communication skills with team members.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is essential.
- Management experience is preferred.
