Traffic Logistics Manager

A top Indiana chemical distribution company is hiring a Traffic Logistics Manager to work in the Indianapolis facility. Serving a large variety of industries, the company offers bulk, packaged, and laboratory chemicals, as well as raw materials and formulated products. This candidate would report directly to the VP of Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

· Manage all modes of transportation: FTL, LTL Liquid Bulk, Intermodal, Air, Ocean

· Maintain all permits, registrations, and licenses required by DOT, FMCSA

· Ensure all fleet operations operate within established budget and are in compliance

· Manage the fleet maintenance program, including contract management

· Track and analyze monthly and quarterly profitability and KPI

· Establishes schedules for drivers, ensure they have appropriate customer instructions

· Work in collaboration with 3PL Partners to establish KPI and freight lanes

· Manage a team of four: truck driver, expeditor, 3PL partner, and import/export

· Design and maintain company security programs/procedures as required by DOT, FMCSA

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or two years of related experience

· Three plus years experience in operating private fleet or commercial/for-hire fleet

· Computer skills Microsoft Office Suites, Inventory Software

· Contract Management Systems, Development software, PM Software

· Valid drivers license with clean driving record

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to lead/motivate a team

Schedule

· 8 hour shift

· Monday-Friday
