Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Masonry Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry construction and a keen eye for detail to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed material and labor cost estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, including detailed scopes of work and pricing.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor and adjust estimates as project conditions change.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop value engineering solutions to meet client needs and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in commercial masonry.
  • Strong understanding of masonry construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
