How will you make an impact?

This is an opportunity to join a team accountable for supporting business operations for a global organization. The HR Generalist delivers first line customer service support to both managers and employees on various HR subject matters and for all inquiries pertaining to policy, compliance, and program administration. The HR Generalist responds to employee inquiries and leadership requests, identifies issues and escalates as needed. This role also serves as intermediary between other administrative departments and the extended Human Resources team.

 

The HR Generalist provides technical, transactional, communication and systems support to the HR Field Services organization and referrals out to the HR Centers of Expertise as necessary. The HR Generalist will work daily with our HRIS platforms monitoring business process activity. Key to being successful in this role is providing accurate, reliable and timely responses to internal and external customers. This position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities with moderate supervision and instruction, and a high degree of accuracy with superior customer service.

 

In this fast-paced environment, HR Generalists draw on their own core HR knowledge, experience and education to assist employees. They conduct customized research and provide resources and practical guidance. Generalists are given many opportunities to engage in professional development opportunities, so they can:

· Keep current with changes in federal and state laws and regulations, emerging trends and other current topics in HR. We want employees and managers to rely on the HR Field Services as the #1 source of current HR information for the company;

· Identify trends in employee inquiries and in HR practices for planning and resource development purposes;

· Communicate via telephone, email and chat;

· Collaborate with other HR Generalists by sharing knowledge/resources from specialty areas within HR;

· Create and update employee resources such as How-To-Guides, FAQs and Toolkits as needed;

· Performs according to Service Level Agreements;

· Ensures that resolution of escalated requests meet the policy or guideline for each process;

· Educates employees/managers of services/programs available to them and encourage use of direct access tools, as applicable;

· Research and resolves all problems in a timely manner; must be able to work on more than one issue simultaneously and prioritize urgency of requests.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for friendly, professional, team-oriented problem solvers as we establish a team of HR Generalists to support our employees and managers, and perform the duties required to deliver on the required company and federal compliance programs and projects.

· The ability to manage workload and prioritize is important so our employees receive timely responses. We use multiple computer programs and require the individual to be technically adept and quickly learn/operate all systems efficiently;

· Flexibility and agility are a must;

· Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment and respond to inquiries in a timely manner;

· Demonstrate excellent customer service skills; strong ability to convey information and guidance in a consistent manner with world class service delivery as the goal;

· Must possess the ability to be organized and detail oriented;

· Experience engaging across functions and with all levels within an organization;

· Strong problem solving skills, and solid written and verbal communication skills.

 

Position Requirements:

Given the nature of the work, and the HR Service Center team serving as the front line service delivery organization for Human Resources, we seek candidates with:

· Bachelor Degree in HR, Operations, Business or related field, or 2 years of progressive professional experience in lieu of a degree;

· 1 - 3 years of progressive experience in all areas of human resource with practical, hands-on HR generalist experience.

Preferred Requirements:

· HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP

· 1-3 years of working in a similar organization / relevant experience

· Experience as a HR practitioner in different industries and environments (e.g., union, federal contracting)

· Spanish language fluency
