Summary

The Quality Control Coordinator supports the Quality Control department by maintaining the pre-funding review process, assisting in the maintenance of the Quality Control mailbox, assisting in the completion of verifications and re-verifications, and assisting with various searches and reports as needed.

Responsibilities

This description does not represent a complete list of all the performance expectations and characteristics of individuals required to perform this position accurately. Summit Mortgage Corporation reserves the right to change this description as needed to meet the needs of the business.

  • Maintain the Quality Control mailbox, respond to Quality Control questions
  • Track Quality Control selections and findings
  • Enter select files into Quality Control software and LOS system
  • Pull review credit reports and tax transcripts for all post-closing reviews
  • Complete reviews on canceled/denied selections and other selections as required
  • Assist in providing explanations to Loan Officers, Processors, Branches, and other departments
  • Obtain and review verification responses from third parties, scan re-verifications, and complete second attempt re-verifications as required
  • Assist with tracking deficiencies and repurchase requests
  • Assist with researching and responding to audits
  • Assist with conducting various searches and reports as needed
  • May act as a backup to the Receptionist as needed
  • Must complete required compliance trainings as required

Requirements

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of customer service or administrative assistance/support experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong detail orientation, problem-solving, and investigative skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle competing priorities

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. when necessary

Work Environment

  • Corporate office setting – indoor and climate controlled
  • Home office setting if telecommuting/remote
