Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Standards Coordinator to join our team at SCA Health. As a Quality Standards Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain knowledge of clinical best practices, accreditation and regulatory standards, quality improvement processes, and SCA Quality Standards Manual. You will also lead, facilitate, and advise the Center Quality Council and internal performance improvement teams. Additionally, you will provide strategic oversight of proactive and reactive patient safety activities, including root cause analysis, clinical practice guidelines, and sentinel event alerts. If you have a strong background in nursing and/or management, and possess knowledge of standards, survey methodology, and related tools and resources for regulatory and accreditation requirements, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical best practices, accreditation and regulatory standards, quality improvement processes, and SCA Quality Standards Manual.
  • Lead, facilitate, and advise the Center Quality Council and internal performance improvement teams.
  • Provide strategic oversight of proactive and reactive patient safety activities, including root cause analysis, clinical practice guidelines, and sentinel event alerts.
  • Coordinate the center policies/procedures and processes to be in compliance with the current standards of applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies, and mandatory SCA Corporate policies.
  • Work with the Administrator/designee to ensure currency of all physician files, medical staff appointments and/or privileges and compliance with credentialing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Center Survey readiness by assessing center compliance with accreditation standards and regulations, identifying areas of vulnerability, and directing the development of strategies to enhance compliance.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure in the state.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or BSN, Master's degree in nursing/management preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of standards, survey methodology, and related tools and resources for regulatory and accreditation requirements.
