Coordinator facilitates communication between production, sales and distribution for orders for product deliveries with our drivers and agents. Acts as a liaison for emergency and non-emergency calls between drivers and the rental department. Must have great record-keeping abilities, time management and a customer-oriented approach.

II. Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for creating outlines and schedules that are cost efficient for the company.
  • Help in planning, creating and maintaining logistics policies and procedures.
  • Develop important reports for tracking and delivery for customers and managers.
  • Keep proper records of all forms of transactions relating to the company’s logistics operations.
  • Create daily and weekly schedules for drivers.
  • Resolve problems that are related to product delivery, transportation and communication among team members and customers.
  • Negotiate transport or logistics rentals with suppliers and customers to improve the supply chain and delivery.
  • Analyze areas of corporate logistics to find out the most cost-effective means or method of transporting supplies and products.
  • Communicate proper transport or logistics cost to customers or suppliers as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers and evaluate the process of claims or returns made by customers.
  • Monitor the entire cycle of product movement from tracking shipments across different channels.
  • Manage warehouse staff to ensure proper shipping and storage of supplies.
  • Possible Travel to and from locations to pick-up/drop-off when staffing levels are short.
  • Perform and/or assist in the technical training on delivery programs, tracking systems and shipping procedures.
  • Monitor and complete IFTA reporting quarterly.
  • Renew Unified Carrier Registration annually.
  • Ensure all vehicle fleet is in working order.
  • Keep accurate records of all schedule routine maintenances (Oil Changes, PM services, state inspections, etc.).
