Job Summary of the Compliance Specialist: We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role involves coordinating technical documentation, managing product compliance specifications, and securing necessary certifications. You will work closely with internal product development teams and external test labs and regulatory agencies to ensure our PPE products meet global regulatory standards.

Duties of the Compliance Specialist / Research:

  • Coordinate internal pre-compliance testing and prepare detailed laboratory test reports and technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Oversee Fire and Head Protection portfolios as part of the compliance process.
  • Advise internal teams on electrical/electronic designs and lead reviews of electronic component construction from a materials compliance perspective.
  • Assist in coordinating global PPE certification activities with regulatory agencies and third-party test laboratories.
  • Procure and prepare test samples for third-party lab testing and certification.
  • Analyze supplier data sheets for materials compliance and communicate findings with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop a working knowledge of global regulatory certification requirements, including international PPE performance standards and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain a repository of compliance documentation, including storage, tracking, and maintenance of test reports, certificates, compliance engineering data, and submission documentation.
  • Facilitate requests for public-facing compliance documentation, both internally and externally.
  • Route, process, and track purchase orders and invoices for the compliance group.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Skills/Abilities of the Compliance Specialist / Research:

  • Preferred project management experience
  • Experience in researching and sorting archived data and information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and writing technical documentation
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced product development environment
  • Ability to maintain composure and deliver results within time constraints
  • Minimal domestic and international travel required (
