Quality Control Technician/Technologist will play a crucial role in ensuring that a company's quality assurance system operates smoothly.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality testing and inspections to meet organizational standards.
  • Ensure that products adhere to specified quality criteria and meet required specifications.
  • Maintain documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Work in a shop/lab environment and collaborate with the Engineering and Quality Control teams.
  • Operate and/or program CNC lathes. Operate various manual machines and hardness testers.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Required skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Machine shop experience.
  • Metal fabrication experience.
  • General tooling and gauging experience.
  • Automotive and quality analysis experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with GD&T
  • Operate both the small and large frame Instron Tensile testers and Newage Indentron Hardness tester.
  • Ability to become familiar with company's specifications as well as other outside specifications.
  • Knowledge of 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving.
  • Visual Factory Management.
  • 3 years of Manufacturing/Technology engineering work experience
  • High School Diploma

Highly preferred skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of operating the following equipment:
    • Keyence 5000 Scanner
    • Faro Arm Scanner/touch probe.
    • Renishaw Equator
    • Creaform Ametek Scanner
    • Artec Spider Scanner
  • Familiarity with 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing.
  • Awareness of heat-treating processes.
  • FMEA, PPAP, and DOE experience.
  • Six Sigma: DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
  • Lean Tools - 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • TQM and Kaizen Methods.
