KittyHawk Digital is looking for a Javascript Developer with extensive experience using React and NodeJS. This role will be primarily responsible for the development of front-end components and application logic, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from end-users. You may also be involved in managing the interchange of data between the server, multiple 3rd party systems and the client. This role will participate in system design and specifications, program logic and flow-charting, development, testing, debugging, documentation, problem solving and recommending solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDES:

  • Full stack, hands-on development of applications and services, from concept to production.
  • API Development and Management, Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Contribute to specific components while ensuring development practices are in line with company best practices and policies
  • Optimization of the application performance for maximum speed and scalability

QUALIFICATIONS::

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience / substantial JavaScript experience.
  • Experience using front end application frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
  • Experience with Node.JS server side JavaScript
  • Experience in designing and developing web services using REST and JSON
  • Experience with JS testing and code analysis frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Istanbul, JSLint, JSHint, Jasmine.
  • Ability to implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs, including clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.
  • Experience with modern CSS, and CSS extensions and tools such as Sass, Less, and CSS in JS frameworks.
  • A deep understanding of differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and the ability to optimize output to match the specific platform
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
  • Additional experience integrating with Python and Django is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills and being able to work independently or in a full team
  • Knowledge working closely with versioning tools, such as Git/BitBucket
  • Development experience with Python and the Django framework is a big plus
  • Familiar with Azure and/or AWS Technologies is a plus
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple on-going assignments and be able to work independently in addition to contributing as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas and solutions
  • Ability to understand all phases of SDLC Ability to quickly ramp-up on new / emerging technologies as required
