Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties
  • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books
  • Research and resolve outstanding balances on accounts, including telephone, mail or email communications with vendors
  • Enter ACH payments made against the corresponding open invoices in BusinessWorks
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Post journal entries to the general ledger at month-end
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, data-solving, and typing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Experience with accounting software (i.e., BusinessWorks, Frazer)
