Our client, a family owned refrigerated warehouse located in Detroit, is looking for a Warehouse/Plant Manager to add to their team This is a newly created position with a defined career path. This position will have day to day operation responsibilities and will report to the current General Manager. Great opportunity for someone who can work independently but take direction from the GM and owner.

The right candidate will have experience in:

  • Managing move in/move out of customer inventory
  • Customer facing activities, sometimes to close new business
  • Adhering to laws and such regarding food and medical products
  • Hands on with hilo, dock, unloading, etc
  • Overall success managing warehouse functions including facilities management

Our clients offers a full benefit package with a base of $80k for this role. Strong computer skills (they do have an inventory system), floor layout and planning and warehouse experience are required. Will have direct reports. Must be able to think big picture and make customer service a priority. Our client has a solid reputation in the industry and takes servicing their customers very seriously. Both union and non-union shop. This is not a union Veterans are encouraged to apply
