JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing a posting strategy, content calendar, featured videos, live events, and promoted content across all platforms. This role is part of the Marketing team and is equal parts creative and strategic and requires in-depth knowledge of best practices across key social platforms, an eye for effective content, a solid sense of how to build and maintain a community, and a strong ability to read and respond to social analytics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute social strategy including our following and engagement across all social media platforms
  • Create and maintain a content calendar for all social channels working with in-house teams to generate new content with a goal for user acquisition and engagement
  • Contribute and edit strong and engaging social media copy in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
  • Track and report on all key analytics, making recommendations based on learnings to improve the effectiveness of our content strategy
  • Provide support for localized social accounts in multiple countries and regions globally
  • Support short- and long-term strategies for platform engagement
  • Collaborate across teams to find great content and social marketing opportunities
  • Community management and responding to users
  • Collaborate with performance marketing to align paid social campaigns with earned social engagement
  • Execute innovative organic campaigns
  • Drive awareness and sales of per-per-view and free live events on- and off-platform
  • Support brand ambassador and community building strategies geared towards genuine engagement with our fans and the growth of our audience
  • Analysis of culture, community, media, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for content
  • Coordinate Social incentives
  • Customer service inquiries and complaints
  • Other duties as required

SKILLS:

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing the social presence of major brands, IP, or personalities
  • Experience managing a brand with multiple accounts and/or sub-brands
  • Experience scaling brands
  • Hands-on experience in growing and maintaining an online community
  • Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on social data
  • A keen curatorial eye for interesting, stand-out content online
  • Expert knowledge of social analytics platforms (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Slack, Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Graphic design, video editing a major plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, advanced degree a plus
  • Entertainment/Startup experience is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day
  • Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
