SmartSource is the premier provider of technology solutions for event and IT professionals. SmartSource is seeking a people leader with strong sales and sales management skills to support our growing national business. This role will have several direct reports. This role can be remote, but the ideal candidate would live in one of the following major metropolitan areas: Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Orlando, or NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively direct the sales process and sales management to penetrate accounts in the conference and event and general technology markets.
  • Guide and mentor team to achieve and exceed revenue budgets for each individual and the team as a whole.
  • Assist the sales force with execution of strategies that retain and grow existing client relationships, improve profitability, grow the overall client base, and allow for accurate forecasting.
  • Drive metrics for the sales team including weekly, monthly, and annual revenue quotas, and pricing and discounting.
  • Attend customer meetings with your sales team and actively work to be in front of key clients at critical times fostering a Strategic Account strategy.
  • Personally model and execute effective, sophisticated selling strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years demonstrated professional sales management experience in selling B2B on events; or similar B2B rental management sales experience in the business marketplace.
  • A candidate that is comfortable working at a strategic and tactical level.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the company and externally.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced, emerging marketplace.
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis.
  • Proficiency with Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level.
