Cmm Operator/Programmer

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Control Inspector / CMM Programmer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the precision and quality of machined parts through the operation of both Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharp Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and proficient use of MCOSMOS and or PC-DIMS programming software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of machined parts using CMMs equipped with MCOSMOS and or PC-DIMS software.
- Develop and execute CMM programs for new parts and ensure accurate measurement routines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T standards to define inspection criteria.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify dimensional and geometrical conformity.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive records of quality data.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to address quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment according to established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and company quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in operating Mitutoyo and or Brown & Sharp CMMs and hands-on experience with MCOSMOS and or PC-DIMS programming software.
- Proficient in Mechanical inspection techniques and the inspection tools needed to perform those inspections.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in completing AS9102 Forms.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or certifications a plus.
