Join us as an Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing the production schedule of our customer-engineered product department. The primary objective is to ensure a consistently high level of product quality while meeting on time delivery of products to our customers.

SUMMARY:

The Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, planning, executing, and supervising the assembly of products to meet high-quality standards in a safe and clean environment. This position will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, advanced technical knowledge in electronics, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with the Assembly Manager and provide updates on daily/weekly tasks and goals.

• Supervise employee activities while ensuring safety and high-quality standards are met.

• Lead and motivate a team of production workers to meet production goals and quality standards.

• Estimate resources and material requirements based on the production plan and sales forecasts.

• Coach and mentor employees to improve performance and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

• Implement production schedules to ensure targeted daily production volume is met.

• Establish and adjust procedures to meet production goals.

• Coordinate with the Planning and Sourcing Teams to ensure production and stocking levels meet customer orders and demands.

• Foster a positive work environment and build strong relationships with employees and other supervisors.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

• Work closely with the Sales Team to provide updates on assembling products and delivery dates to customers.

• Provide regular feedback to employees and conduct performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and recognition.

• Manage staffing levels, overtime, and training needs to ensure optimal utilization of resources.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production output, quality, and inventory levels.

• Track on-time delivery to meet company goals and targets.

• Monitor equipment in work areas to ensure production requirements are met.

• Ensure high levels of productivity and control critical aspects of the process for optimum output to meet daily/monthly KPI goals and targets.

• Recommend new processes, tools, and machines to improve efficiency.

• Ensure timely availability of finished products for proper distribution to designated locations.

• Inspect and evaluate the quality of products and coordinate with Quality Control regarding rejects and damages.

• Practice, engage, enforce, and instill Core Values.

• Recommend and implement company safety policies and procedures.

• Sustain 5S in the department.

• Perform problem-solving skills.

• Assist in coaching and monitoring department employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in production and operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of assembly experience in production and operations.
