Position Overview

The Senior Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in executing tasks that require a degree of customization and discretion. This position involves selecting and modifying established protocols or equipment, guided by applicable precedents, while receiving initial directives and equipment specifications from supervisors or engineers as necessary. The technician operates independently on routine assignments, with work being evaluated for technical accuracy and adherence to guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

a. Assemble components, subunits, or basic models, and troubleshoot any operational issues that may arise.

b. Interpret detailed layouts and scientific diagrams to construct and package straightforward devices and equipment subunits.

c. Conduct a variety of tests or experiments, which may necessitate minor adjustments in testing configurations or methodologies, along with subjective assessments in measurement. This includes selecting, preparing, and utilizing standard testing apparatus while documenting test results.

d. Climbing certification may be required, and assistance with tower climbing or support tasks may be necessary on occasion. Candidates should not have a fear of heights.

e. Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained, forecasting demand, implementing control procedures, and facilitating efficient stock handling to meet business and customer needs.

f. Manage shipping and receiving operations within the warehouse, ensuring that all products and materials are processed accurately and documented, while maintaining inventory records and coordinating with various departments for timely movement of goods.

g. Possess fundamental computer skills.

h. Provide extensive administrative support to ensure smooth office operations. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.) is essential for daily tasks.

i. This role may require occasional travel to support operational needs.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
