Summit Business Technologies’ Managed Services team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with strong consulting skills to support our customers in the greater Baltimore / Washington DC area. Our team provides comprehensive IT support and managed services across various industries, ensuring robust and efficient operating environments.

Our engineers design, install, and support solutions built on established, trusted technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Provide ongoing operational support and advice for customers’ information systems, including onsite requirements.
  • Resolve Support Desk tickets efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to clients and internal management.
  • Configure LAN and WAN topologies, server staging, and deployment.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for complex technical issues.
  • Ensure timely and competent responses to technology support requests.
  • Deliver high-quality support for Microsoft 365, desktop, server, and network-level issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a two-year degree, preferably with an emphasis on information systems or technology management, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • At least five years of experience in technical customer support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience performing systems and network support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ability to manage technology budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing personalized solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
