Position Overview: Systems Engineer at Summit Business Technologies

Summit Business Technologies is seeking a proficient Systems Engineer with a consulting mindset to provide support to clients in various sectors.

Our Managed Services division delivers comprehensive IT support and managed solutions across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tailored technology solutions for clients
  • Offer continuous operational support and strategic advice
  • Address and resolve technical support tickets efficiently

This position requires collaboration with the Managed Services team, reporting to the team lead, and working alongside fellow engineers and support personnel.

Core Duties:

  • Respond to technology support inquiries in a timely manner
  • Provide high-quality support across Microsoft 365, desktop, server, and network environments
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to clients and internal teams
  • Configure and manage LAN and WAN infrastructures, including server setup and deployment
  • Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Associate degree in information systems or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of experience in technical customer support
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • A minimum of eight years in systems and network troubleshooting
  • In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, networks, and management tools
  • Expertise in Windows server and desktop environments, email systems, firewalls, and network security

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and VMware technologies
  • Experience with leading technology brands such as Microsoft, HP, Dell, SonicWall, Datto, and StorageCraft
  • Experience in managed services utilizing tools like ConnectWise Automate and Kaseya
  • Relevant vendor certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or CSSA
