REPORTS TO: President

JOB PURPOSE: The Systems Analyst will use analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using information technology. Systems analysts may serve as a change agent who identifies areas of improvements in the organization, designs systems to implement those changes, validates data outputs and trains and motivates others to use the systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates with managers and users to identify systems problems; assesses severity of the issues and prioritizes responses as appropriate.
  • Integration and optimization of all systems and processes.
  • Assist in project management of ERP system implementation and upgrades.
  • Performs system tests and collaborates with outsourced IT services to resolve issues and errors.
  • Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
  • Uses structured and cost analysis to identify and recommend updates to the current network and computer systems.
  • Act as liaison between outsourced IT services and Kato Cable staff.
  • Drafts informational materials and graphics to explain systems to managers and users.
  • Implementation of fully electronic and paperless manufacturing
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience, Competencies and Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required. Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems and programming.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with SQL, VB Script and Design Studio software
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization.

  • Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.

  • Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.

  • Reasoning Ability

Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • Three to five years of information systems experience preferred.

  • Ability to maintain clean work areas and follow good housekeeping practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
