Position Summary:
The role of the Credit Coordinator in Agricultural Lending is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients. This position involves evaluating financial data, executing loan servicing requests, and engaging in various credit-related tasks to assist Credit Underwriters and the Sales Team. Adherence to established policies and best practices is essential to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of all activities. Additionally, this role includes providing ongoing support for specialized programs such as FSA loan guarantees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough financial assessments of client information submitted via the OnBase work queue, utilizing diverse software tools and systems.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for consistent financial analysis.
  • Input and review financial and credit-related data, compiling reports and performing credit support functions.
  • Analyze cash-based balance sheets and income statements, completing accrual reconciliations as necessary for credit decision-making.
  • Gather credit bureau reports, lien searches, and other relevant information to facilitate the credit analysis process.
  • Perform financial evaluations for FSA guaranteed loans as required.
  • Conduct annual credit reviews for applicable clients, evaluate loan classifications, and update lending systems accordingly.
  • Oversee credit and loan portfolio administration, including monitoring overdue accounts, document exceptions, collateral values, and compliance with covenants.
  • Review exception reports and collaborate with the Credit Underwriting team to maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Execute loan servicing actions within designated authorities, including partial collateral releases, loan extensions, payment modifications, assignments, consents, and easements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in agricultural economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in agricultural credit, finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with core agricultural industries and production practices, as well as loan products and credit operations.
  • Understanding of credit processing, servicing activities, accounting principles, credit analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertinent to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Proficient problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Adaptable to changing environments and able to balance business needs with risk considerations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
  • Valid driver's license.
