**Overview**

Desert Services is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. We are working at a higher velocity, growing, and gaining more cliental working with Contractors throughout Arizona.

**Summary**

Our Estimator will attend meetings to walk-thru and field measure the project. Draw up estimates, and determine the overall costs of a new or existing construction project. Create a list with all the needed materials and write down an estimated amount necessary to complete the client’s project. Work closely with builders, designers, project managers to formulate estimates, calculate costs, and do follow-up to ensure closure. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you

**Responsibilities**

  • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
  • Develops bids for construction projects.
  • Works closely with architects and other professionals.
  • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
  • Navigates and understands building codes.
  • Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required.
  • Monitors construction processes.
  • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
  • Works closely with Office Manager and team.

**Qualifications and Skills**

  • Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic
  • Ability to navigate specifications and plans
  • Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and prioritize workload efficiently
  • Close attention to detail and organized
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment operation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Blue Beam Revu - or equivalent plan measuring software would greatly set you apart but not necessary as we can train you.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Education Requirements**

  • At least 1 year of related experience is required

  • Monday - Friday 6:30am-4:00pm (flexible)
