Turnaround Welding Services is a prominent player in the mechanical and electrical construction industry, specializing in a wide array of services including planning, consulting, operations, and maintenance. We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive mechanical contracting solutions.
Role Summary
We are currently seeking a Lead Plumbing Estimator to oversee the estimation and bidding processes for construction projects. This role demands expertise in all aspects of estimating, including preconstruction services and detailed take-offs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in estimating complex projects, particularly in healthcare and technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise mechanical estimates by thoroughly analyzing project proposals and requirements.
- Review and comprehend all project bid documents to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing using industry-standard estimating software.
- Collaborate with design professionals on design-assist and design-build projects.
- Work closely with project teams and other departments to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Manage project mechanical designs within budget constraints while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings to clarify project scopes and requirements.
- Travel as needed for project site visits and meetings.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical/Plumbing Estimating, with at least 4 years focused on large and complex proposals.
- Proven experience in estimating for healthcare, data centers, and semiconductor projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction bidding processes.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
