Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Responsibilities:

·         Internal project management duties: coordinate, manage and oversee all aspects of an environmental soil project. Including but not limited to; receiving customer orders, interpreting soil grids / maps, schedule transportation, schedule disposal slots, importation of backfill, handling out of scope issues.

·         Assist in all aspects of large soil projects from bid opportunity to final invoice.

·         Perform administrative duties such as generating trucking logs, track project waste approvals, completed manifests and scale tickets, reviewing vendor invoices, invoice/billing clients.

·         Administrate all required paperwork.

·         Obtain and negotiate vendor transportation, disposal and backfill pricing. Including buying down vendors when bid is in final stage.

·         Generate cost sheet & formal quotes.

·         Communicate follow up activities to the organization.

·         Work with fellow employees and onsite soil logistic coordinators.

·         Place daily orders with clients and vendors for the next day of shipping

·         This position requires the utmost respect, integrity and protection of confidential company information.

·         Possess the ability to communicate clearly, and associate with other professionals in our firm, including clients, and vendors.

·         Possess knowledge of DOT, Haz-Mat, EPA, RCRA Regulations and backfill material.

·         Have great organizational & prioritization skills.

·         Able to meet deadlines under pressure.

·         Vendor Management (truckers, disposal facilities, quarries, etc.)

·         Be reliable, trustworthy, motivated and have the ability to multitask.

·         Have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook) and strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 

·         Attend and successfully complete related training and education seminars/classes.

·         Understand and practice basic business fundamentals and principles.
