Role Overview:

Warehouse operations are fundamental to our success. Our clients choose Weldon Group for our meticulous attention to detail in services such as picking, embroidery, and engraving, which enhance their brand identity.

As an Inventory Control Section Supervisor, you will report to the Operations Manager/Warehouse Manager. You will be expected to possess a solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and goods-in processes.

We seek individuals who are logical, methodical, and adept at problem-solving, with a strong mathematical background and proficiency in Excel.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Manage and coordinate stock takes, audits, and cycle counting activities to ensure optimal service levels for our clients.

2. Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate, standardize, and enhance processes, actively sharing best practices.3. Support operational changes while minimizing disruptions to production and service.4. Maintain and enhance performance metrics to maximize inventory accuracy in alignment with site KPIs.5. Communicate issues and information to the line manager, including stock count discrepancies and general warehouse inquiries.6. Provide weekly updates to the line manager regarding issues, changes, solutions to past problems, and current tasks/challenges.7. Work closely with Customer Services, Operations Manager/Warehouse Manager, and clients to facilitate effective inventory control procedures.8. Ensure cost-effectiveness in all activities.9. Identify training needs and offer solutions to equip staff with the necessary knowledge to perform their roles.
Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in inventory management and stock control is desirable.

2. Methodical approach with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.3. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.4. Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.5. Ability to adapt in a complex and evolving operational environment.6. Capable of developing and implementing processes to enhance departmental efficiency.7. Forward-thinking with the ability to think critically and creatively.8. Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a small team.
