ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES & COLLECTIONS CONSULTANT


Temporary role for our client in Pittsburgh, PA

Workplace Type: Hybrid (3 day/week)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate directly with clients and internal partners to collect, research, and resolve complex billing and collection issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputed and terminated accounts
  • Reviews collection reports to evaluate current policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with sales to manage high risk relationships and minimize risk of bad debt
  • Oversee and apply cash receipts
  • Perform month end reporting to support close including accounts receivable roll forward, borrowing base and cash forecasting
  • Assist with AR month-end close activities
  • Assists with the annual audit and credit facility testing
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
  • 5+ years of accounts receivable, credit and collections experience
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism while executing collections
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels within an organization
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working with an accounting ERP system including Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
