Position Summary
Facility Service Manager is responsible for the maintenance and support for facility, infrastructure, and material handling equipment within the Fulfillment Warehouse. Additional responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, policy adherence, preparing cost controls, adhering to budgets, and identifying opportunities to improve safety and performance within the building and its material handling systems. The role will require strong organizational competencies, a proactive mindset, and the ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment. The Facility Service Manager is responsible for technical and mechanical needs and will be expected to demonstrate positive engagement and leadership with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of facility operations and equipment management including implementing process improvements, effective workflow management, and implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Leadership experience
- Experience with maintenance practices of critical operating infrastructure and equipment including high-pile racks, forklift (Reach, Order Picker, Sit-down, etc.), desktop computer, mobile devices and various warehouse equipement (scanner/printer/paper shooter, etc.).
- Experience computerized maintenance management, procurement and service ticket systems.
- Organizational planning of warehouse.
- Purchase, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and devices for warehouse operations.
- Extensive knowledge of multiple brands of Forklifts, maintenance, Cal OSHA safety, training, etc.
- An inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues.
- Maintain a 3-year driven and annual safety certification on all 4 trucks in warehouse, stand up, sit down, cherry picker, electric pallet jack.
- An ability to be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree or background (Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical) OSHA certifications.
- Fluent in the Microsoft Suite
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Subject matter expertise in powered industrial equipment.
- A self-starter who can take initiative and drive results without oversight.
- Ability to effectively conduct Root Cause Analysis and develop strategies to improve uptime and building availability
- Demonstrate competency in maintenance planning and budgeting
- Track record of analyzing risk, developing contingencies and making solid decisions so as not to negatively impact production while maintaining the highest standards in safety
- Effective communicator, able to interact and influence all levels of the organization including cross functional departments of the organization and vendors/contractors
Education
· Associate’s degree or High School Diploma with 5-8 years field related experience required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Non-Exempt
$24 - $32/hour
