Full-Time Position

We are looking to add a Superintendent to our growing team This role must be filled by a well organized individual with a passion to lead and achieve goals in a timely manner. · Working in tangent with the Project Manager, the superintendent heads up and leads all site activities on the jobsite.

· Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.

· Provides leadership & management of the overall on-site activities and workflow

· Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors and suppliers on site.

· Develops work plans for self-performed work activities and coordinate with subcontractors.

· Responsible for control of a clean & organized project site.

· Leads various meetings including daily and weekly trade coordination meetings.

· Attends and participates in project OAC meetings.

· Responsible for overseeing the tracking and monitoring project materials, make transmittals for Law Co. purchased material to turn over to subcontractor responsible for install.

· Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors & suppliers.

· Follows the project filing and documentation as dictated for the project. Updates drawings, daily logs, progress photos, etc.

· Approves and records cost information for weekly reports and completes daily reports, logs and tracking reports.

· Evaluates progress on self-perform work and make adjustments as needed.

· Participates in management of equipment and material needs for the project.

· Manages the internal employee timesheets/payroll process to ensure reporting of accurate hours and proper cost codes.

· Responsible for quality compliance on the project.

· Responsible for successful project closeouts by ensuring pre-punch activities and coordinating activities with the trades, owner, architect and governing authorities.

· Participates in the GO Meeting for the project putting together the project plan, master schedule; then provides leadership that implements, monitors and adjusts as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

· Participates with the project team in preparation and presentation for all project review meetings.

· Participates in the project buy out meetings with subcontractors and vendors.

· Understands and applies the terms and conditions of the owner and subcontractor contracts for the project.

· Understands Law Company’s policy of non-discrimination and ensures positive, implementation throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:

· Manages the field activities on fairly complex stand-alone projects from start to finish.

· Knowing & understanding all construction documents and all details

· Take on the responsibility for management, safety, quality, scheduling/production, on their projects.

· Oversees coordination between various trades to produce quality work

· Experience and knowledge to identify problems and recommends solutions for review and implementation by the team; oversee the RFI process.

· Manages the deliverables on the jobsite to ensure its safe-keeping, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Self-starter and can work independently

· Able to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.

· Able to lead a team of people

· Use good communication skills, verbal and written

· Proficiency in MS Office is beneficial

· Proficiency in Procore is preferred but not required

· Knowledge of construction processes & sequencing and how each supports the successful completion of a project.

· Be a team player with those you work & associate with on a project

· Ability to adapt to changes & fast pace work environments

· Ability to build relationships with team members on a project

· Proficiency in scheduling software is preferred but not required

· Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work

· Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity

· Ability to manage budgets

· Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.

· Having knowledge of construction layout out is preferred

· Ability to identify & understand impacts to project schedules from document changes

· Ability to make an accurate 3-week look ahead schedule that coincides with the overall project timelines & milestones and keep updated routinely

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred but not required)

· 5+ years construction experience.

· 3+ years field supervision experience.

 

Working Environment

· Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Will require periods of travel and/or relocation

· May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)

· Must be willing & flexible to work non-traditional hours at times to meet project needs

· Frequent activities: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
