HUMAN RESOURCES & TALENT DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Southern California based General Contractor is seeking an energetic and charismatic individual for the Human Resources and Talent Development Executive role.  This pivotal position requires extensive experience within HR, talent development, and talent acquisition. This individual would rotate between the offices and cities of Ontario, Laguna Hills, and Murrieta.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing a wide array of strategies that enhance the professional growth of our workforce, thereby contributing to the overall success of our organization.
  • Implementing performance management systems.
  • Developing policies and strategies for acquiring new talent.
  • Analyzing the company’s hiring and talent needs to anticipate hiring.
  • Ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures.
  • Assessing information provided by executives and managers to determine employee performance and/or training needs.
  • Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
  • Creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws.
  • Supervising all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team.
  • Attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers.

Requirements:

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements all human capital programs, policies, and processes to support the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Expertly monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulatory changes, and leading practices.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and administering the company’s benefit plans and programs, including, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), defined benefit plan, and other employee benefit benefits.
  • Thorough understanding of HR processes and talent acquisition trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with potential candidates.
  • Knowledge about the industry and the roles within the organization.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations for the industry.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with office management and communication software.
  • Ability to understand statistical data and mathematical concepts and how to apply them to HR processes.
  • Excellent leadership, training and developmental skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend complex language, theories and methodologies.
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent time-management and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Flexibility to work with fluid and changing priorities.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
