About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for marketing and implementation of new clients, managing current client renewals, day-to-day account management and awareness of the industry. The Account Manager must develop and maintain trusted relationships with the clients and brokers by providing excellent customer service.

What you’ll do

· New/Renewing/Mid-Year client marketing - Prepare and present client reporting to help drive benefit decisions to achieve the client’s goals and objectives.

· Communicate with our clients to understand their needs, explain product value, and handle needs/issues/complaints.

· Carrier and client interface to solve all aspects of assigned client service responsibilities to include requests for proposals (RFPs), benefit clarification, benefit design, enrollment procedures, renewal processes and general client service follow up for medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, and COBRA.

· Manage ongoing carrier/vendor renewal negotiations on the client’s behalf.

· Implement client benefit plan decisions – renewing, updating, changing and/or revising plans.

· Manage implementation process with the client & internal team members.

· Prepare internal and external communication materials for clients.

· Communicate plan design changes & implementations internally & support operations on client questions.

· Keep accurate reports pertaining to historical relationships and account notes.

· Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about the consumer behavior and account metrics.

About you

Qualifications

● 2+ years of work experience in group insurance benefit administration with an emphasis in TPA service

● Preferred knowledge of health insurance benefit products, services, market dynamics, carriers/vendors

● Experience which demonstrates the ability to work with employers, consultants, and brokers.

● Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

● Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
