Position Summary: The IT Intern, under the direction of the IT Manager, will assist with various IT tasks within the office environment. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with new employee IT onboarding, providing support for office users, updating documentation, and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with new employee IT onboarding, including setting up workstations and user accounts.
- Provide first-level support for office users, handling IT requests via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Update and maintain IT documentation, including asset management and procedural guides.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager on various IT projects and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware and software, including Microsoft operating systems and applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Interest in gaining hands-on experience in an IT support role.
- Practical experience in an IT support environment.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced IT professionals.
- Opportunity to develop IT support, documentation, and inventory management skills.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate academic schedules.
