We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to deliver exceptional technical assistance to a diverse clientele across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to a wide range of customers. Candidates should possess a strong technical background and a collaborative approach to supporting Microsoft software products, standard server hardware, third-party software applications, and Active Directory. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are essential, along with the patience to assist customers in real-time via phone and remote desktop tools. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and a strong customer service orientation.
Core Duties:
- Diagnosing and resolving user and system issues through phone support and remote access technologies.
- Collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Providing proactive technical support through automation.
- Participating in strategic planning for clients' IT utilization.
- Documenting all support activities accurately.
- Enhancing the EMPIST Knowledge Base.
- Managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting client networks, equipment, software, and services.
- Quickly learning and adapting to evolving requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or currently pursuing.
- At least 6 months of experience in IT Help Desk support.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Mac OS is advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Remote Desktop Services.
- Ability to assess and resolve issues promptly.
- Microsoft Certification is preferred.
- Proficient in remote desktop support.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A genuine desire to assist in all situations.
- High motivation, self-direction, commitment, and integrity.
- Capability to multitask with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and participate in an on-call rotation.
