Job Description:

Alenco is seeking an Accounting/Payroll Clerk for its corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. This is a great opportunity for a recent accounting graduate with 1-2 years of experience, that would prefer private sector accounting vs working long hours for an accounting firm. This position will give the employee the opportunity to learn all aspects of the company’s accounting and advance as our staff grows.

This position is initially responsible for the following duties.

  • Administrative responsibilities - basic office related duties (phones, mail, filing, etc.) 
  • Payroll - Paylocity or ADP software- Full Charge including Employee setup, time entry.
  • Company Benefits enrollments and processing.
  • Processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide service to our KC and STL staff regarding any payroll issues, Paid Time Off and benefits enrollments.
  • Handle all Child Support, Garnishment and Unemployment correspondence with both Kansas and Missouri.
  • Process and reconcile 401K & HSA deferral contributions and submit to processor.
  • Process Independent Contractor accounts payable/1099 payments weekly.
  • Process Invoices in Accounts Receivable and weekly collection monitoring.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Month End reconciliation and journal entries.

  • Strong accounting and reconciliation knowledge and experience.
  • High attention to detail and possess the ability to efficiently multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Work well independently and within a team setting.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business (with accounting)

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business (with Accounting Minor).
  • Knowledge of Paylocity payroll software. including setup, payroll time entry and check processing.
  • Human Resources administration experience is a plus.
