The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain operations at Ethical Products Inc. This role involves coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring the efficient flow of products from production to distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that the right products are available at the right time. Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shortages or overstock situations.

  • Supplier Coordination:
    Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and quality standards.

  • Order Processing:
    Manage the processing of purchase orders and sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and align supply chain activities with customer needs.

  • Logistics Coordination:
    Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in good condition. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to optimize shipping routes and costs.

  • Quality Control:
    Ensure that all incoming and outgoing products meet the company’s quality standards. Work with the quality assurance team to address any issues related to product quality or supplier performance.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings. Prepare regular reports on key supply chain metrics for senior management.

  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. Work on continuous improvement projects that reduce lead times, lower costs, and improve service levels.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment on supply chain activities and objectives. Support new product launches and promotional campaigns by coordinating supply chain activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or inventory management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pet products industry.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM).
